Hi Welcome to my site! I'm a singer/songwriter based in Ojai, California and I've been writing music since I was a little one. I write contemporary folk and some of my music has rock influences. I write from the heart to inspire and uplift. I come from a musical family and performed in coffee houses and local restaurants in the Maryland, DC area until I was snatched up by a booking agent and moved to New York City. I eventually landed a publishing deal with Famous Music and the Entertainment Company in New York and got my first cover for a song I co-wrote with Jeanne Napoli and Gary Portnoy called "I'll Never Get Enough of You," recorded by the Australian pop rock group "Air Supply." I worked with many noteworthy songwriters doing demos and performing in Greenwich Village and the theater district. I moved to Los Angeles after 11 years in New York City to collaborate with other singer/songwriters. I left the business for 10 years when I hit a dry spell then moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico but soon after I had a mystical experience that pointed me back to music. I've since been working on new music and I'm currently in the studio recording it. I will be launching another website very soon that came to me as a vision one morning while waking up, it's what I call a "God thing" and it's all about music and raising up the world. Stay tuned as I'll be sharing more on this new project in the coming months. I'm really excited about it and hopefully you will want to be a part of it too! Thanks for checking out my music, all the best! Julia

I wrote this song with Brian Seth Hurst many years ago and just re-recorded it in the last year. It might as well have been written today in light of the current events.
